Aim of the Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant role:

To maintain the high standards of cleanliness of The Lygon Arms throughout the hotel public areas and bedrooms.

Responsibilities of the Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant:

• Take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of our public areas and bedrooms to the hotel's 5 star standards
• To check public areas regularly ensuring standards of cleanliness set by the Head Housekeeper are met
• To be passionate and confident conversing with our guests, creating a visit to remember
• To complete tasks as delegated by the Head Housekeeper and work according to the extra cleaning list understanding flexibility and teamwork
• To be able to work alone as well as part of the team in a busy yet flexible operation
• To take ownership in completing tasks set by the management team in a timely manner, and report any faults or breakages to the relevant department
• To take pride in your appearance and demeanour at work at all times
• To be confident and intuitive when using cleaning materials and equipment 

Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant - About you 

• Experience in housekeeping or professional cleaning is desirable
• A positive, welcoming attitude and good communication skills
• Fluent in English both verbally and written
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent personal presentation standards
• Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team
• Availability to work week days and weekends (on rota basis)
